Mr Koczur graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Jagiellonian University in 2001. In the academic year 2001/2002 he completed Postgraduate Studies in Labour Law and Social Insurance conducted by the JU Chair of Labour Law and Social Insurance. In 2004 he defended his doctoral dissertation on ‘Employment relationship claims of a member of the capital company management board’ and earned his Ph.D. degree in law, specializing in labour law. The above dissertation was granted distinction in the 6th edition of the best master and doctoral dissertations contest in the field of labour and social policy issues organized by the Institute of Labour and Social Studies under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy and Labour as well as the Ministry of Social Policy. It was published by C.H.Beck Publishing House. In 2007 dr Sebastian Koczur passed the bar examinations and was entered into the list of attorneys of the District Bar Association in Kraków. An author of numerous publications on issues concerning labour and economic law. An expert in the narrow field of employment and holding posts by members of capital company authorities. His practical experience is reinforced by his academic activity as an Assistant Professor employed at the Faculty of Law, Administration and International Relations of Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University.
